I just went for a stress test today and a nuclear test where you need to lie down while a scanner takes pictures of the heart. Of course the first time they did it the pictures didn't turn out right so I had to do it three times instead of twice with my arms above my head for 20 minutes each time. Now I need a Keeper to massage my aching shoulders for me. Or maybe i need to borrow AP's chair for a while?

Oh yeah and thanks to me being a dunce and drinking a coffee yesterday when I wasn't supposed to i had to run the tread mill for my stress test instead of getting the druggs pumped into me. I just about passed out near the end. I think they like to torture you to see if you are really alive or not.

Actually, I stay home too much. I need a date or two to get out. Going for a stress test is not getting out in my books.

Aren't they fun. Dates can be stressful I had mine done about 6 weeks ago. Stress test, not a date. Because of my knees, that problem should be taken care of Friday, I haven't been able to do the treadmill the last couple of times. I'm not sure which I prefer. The feeling you get with the chemicals is one of the weirdest I've ever experienced. I can't wait till they give me that second shot that does away with it. I get an ultrasound of the heart rather than the nuclear scan. My cardiologist was happy with the results, so I'm good till next year.

I'm hoping my cardiologist will be happy as well. His motto is, if I don't hear from him, I'm okay. So my prayer is may he never let me know he exists, lol!!

I know what you mean about the drug part though. I can't stand that feeling you get when they chemically make the heart race. I think it's worse than naturally making your heart work. Bleh!! But I didn't like the feeling of thinking I was going to pass out with the fast walking.

I feel sooo in shape *not*!!

I hate doctors. The way I see it, is that you go to the doctor to get sick! They're always covering their behinds. Don't want to get sued.

I have a heart murmer. I was told to take 2000 miligrams of amoxicilian before dental procedures. Even to get my teeth cleaned! They said my heart could get infected and I could die.

Scared me! So I take the drugs and they really space me out.

Now, the doctor said that the law has changed and I don't have to take the drugs! What! Am I gonna die or what? The reply is "You're the consumer. You can have the drug if you want."

So now I'm scared. Maybe I''ll still take the darn things to be on the safe side.

The medical profession. I could go on and on.

Oh, and now that I'm 50 they want to run a video camera up my anus. Hey, I don't think so. My doctor said "I'm just doing my job".

I do believe in a tetnaus shot though.

*comforts Winn*

They did unspeakable things to me today at a certain doctor's office. I got the 'now you're going to feel a slight pinch' ... they lied.

I feel your pain sweetness... I say we climb into bed with a good book and some cocoa and call it a day.

If you *insist* on having your arms suspended over your head for intervals of 20 minutes, would you *at least* make sure that the straps are lined in fur? That way, when the 5 buff man-hunks come to test your...*ahem* stress level, you won't chafe.
