i believe that good communication skills start with a good, clear understanding amongst the parties involved...

I would simply reply that there would be no problem in accepting that as long as XXXX would have no problem accepting his grade whenever you felt giving one,

How ome I seem to think this is the same kid who you told us about on day ONE of the school year. I think the quote was.." You mean we have to SPEAK Spanish in this class? :-0 " Remember you had to count slowly from 1 - 10 in Spanish to calm yourself. I'm just curious if this is the same kid that is all.

No. Different little "angel" If the annoyances were limited to one kid per class per year, teachers would have little of which to complain. Nope-I get a baker's dozen usually.
