I am distressed!

Creepy Deli Guy has freaked me out for the last time!

I try to avoid Creepy Deli Guy. When I enter Publix, I case the deli area. I've tried to buy meat at different times of the day but he is ALWAYS there. I try to make eye contact with other deli people ... but doesn't matter who is at the counter when I walk in Publix, Creepy Deli Guy runs to the counter to help me.

Now, you have to get a visual of Creepy Deli Guy. He has slimy hair under his white net. He has a deep raspy voice and icky gestures.

He looks at my pants while he slices meat. He cuts my first slice very thin and waves it at me. After I explain for the 100th time I like my meat in large pieces, he throws the thin slice in an arch to the trash can. Every time. Then he stares at me all the way into the produce section. He makes me want to go home to wash my deli meat (and more)!

But today was the last time. I was tired and Creepy Deli Guy asked me if my husband had been in earlier because he already bought my meat. I said no, I don't have a husband. Creepy Deli Guy asked me if I were sure because this guy liked his meat thick as well. I stared at Creepy Deli Guy and I realized my mistake.

After I left for the produce area, he snickered and laughed and elbowed Goober Sub Man.

I love Boars Head Oven Gold! Is it too much to ask that my meat buying process be pleasant and professional?

Perhaps a question better put to the management?

I have the creepy janitor to contend with. He "finishes" his tasks for the day and hangs out for hours (no exaggeration) around his little janitor's closet. There are two of these closets on this floor. He hangs out in the one right by the door to the ladies' room (the other is around the other side of the building beside the men's room).

I could ignore it if he didn't periodically make comments to women going in and out, or walking by. It almost makes me physically shudder. What woman wants a man lurking outside the restroom all morning and chatting as she goes in or out? Fortunately, he's off work for a few months as of this week.

You need to go into the closet and case it. He could have a peep hole in there. CREEP-dar alert!

LOL! I never thought of that before! Eeeewww!!! Fortunately, it would be facing the front of the stalls from outside of them.

Generally he has the door open and is accosting people in the hallway, but I will now be a little fearful if I see the door closed!

Maybe he's a thong digger.

Why don't you report the creep to management? ...I bet you'd be able to buy your Oven Gold Boar's Head in peace then!

I agree that you should report him to management.

You can also wear a garlic necklace the next you go to the deli. That should that may repel him.

*sigh*

I did tell management about Creepy Deli Dude. I told them that he made me uncomfortable while purchasing food and that I would avoid buying it in the future if he were there ... and I wanted to tell them because they were my primary grocer ... and I really didn't want to have to shop elsewhere.

They were really weird about it. Staring at the ceiling shaking their head. I couldn't figure out if they were thinking "crazy demanding lady" or "carp, he's done it again."
