I still have a great deal of swelling and bruising some of which you can see especially in forearms and elbows.. The reconstructive surgeon (Dr. Guy - oddly enough a woman) has done a spectacular job of hiding the incisions which run from elbow up under my arm and down the side of my torso. I'm pretty sure most of you are interested in this reconstruction - the extreme weight loss caused hanging skin on my arm that was awful, embarassing and many other things. If you are not interested, please don't look or read. This is just me sharing more of a long, long process in my life with folks who have been very supportive for part of this insane but life and soul saving journey.

Hey, girlfriend, looking good! It helps to see a big smile on your face too--you seem more happy with the outcome than in pain from the procedure. Does this mean all the staples are out and the bandages are off for good, or is this just a peak?

I hope your swelling goes down soon.

Lit, I'm so impressed with all the work you are putting into this!! You keep going, girl!! You look terrific, by the wqay, considering all the surgery that took. When the swelling disappears, you're going to have to wear lots of sleeveless shirts to show off those arms of yours. I'm so glad you don't have the bandages anymore. How much movement do you have now? Or is the movement part back to normal?

You look absolutely great, you must be so happy with the result.

Oh, and I really, really love your hair. I wish I could have it long like that but I have this very fine Scandinavian hair.
