I don't know about the rest of you, but I already cried like a baby when he died in "Ghost", what I consider to be one of the most romantic movies of our time. So long Patrick!

I just heard. Patrick Swayze was one of my favourite actors. What a terrible loss for his wife and family.

Just read it in my morning paper. I am so sad. He was so handsome, charming, had that sparkle in his eyes, a voice to die for, he simply had that "Je ne sais quoi".

Thanks, MelinCali, for the clip from "Ghost" -- one of my favorites as well. I thought Patrick kept such a positive attitude with such a dire prognosis. I really thought maybe he'd be one to prove 'em wrong.

Good actor. From all accounts, a good man too. R.I.P.

This is my favorite scene from Patrick. Unfortunately, the embedding has been disabled on all versions, so you have to click on the link.

He will definitely be missed.

This is a hard thing to hear. I listened to an interview with Patrick Swayze and his wife, Lisa, a month after my husband died of the same type of cancer. It was encouraging to hear him talk about his determination to fight. In the interview his oncologist also was interviewed and I understood a lot more about why things happened so fast with my husband. I felt better knowing that there was really not a lot that could have been done for John and I felt Patrick was extremely blessed to have the chance to fight and be with his wife a while longer (about nine months more, since that interview). I feel for her because I know what she will have to struggle with but I'm glad she got time to spend with Patrick. He was a good man and an excellent actor. What you see is what you got.
