Can you believe this weather we are having???

I cant believe that its been in the 50's at night and almost in the mid 80's during the day here!
What happend to my summer months?? I'm so sad over this.
It stayed cold until mid June here an it seems like it jus warmed up
an here we are with fall temps!

Summer Come Back to Me!

So anyone else feel like summer jus slid right on by with a nod an a wink?

An with these temps hangin round, what is our Labor day gonna be lookin like? What are ya'lls plans to celebrate our day off work?

Up here in Saskatchewan, we have experienced one of the coldest summers in our province's history, which was preceded by one of the coldest winters we have ever had. We are not loving it. It rains constantly, it's windy, and the temperature rarely goes much beyond +20 (Celsius - I don't know the conversion to Farenheit) during the day. Nights - I don't even want to think about it! When people are talking about covering their plants overnight in the middle of July and into August, you know there's a problem!

We had what looked like snow the other day. There were tiny flakes falling from the sky and though they melted the instant they touched the ground, it was still very alarming.

People have turned their furnaces on already and some are even running the heaters in their cars. Boo! Hiss!!!

I drove all day long in the desert in Nevada from Las Vegas to Fallon 2 days ago: And it rained almost the whole way!

Death Valley usually is abou 117* to 130* this time of year, and it was about 80* when I shot through, I saw lightning and funnel clouds !

Excellent trip!! (Exept for the 105mph speeding ticket I caught outside Beatty, just north of North Las Vegas. grr)

Saw an utterly sublime crimson sunset over the mountains just before Fallon, Nevada.

Tip: Undergound valet parking is free at most Las Vegas casinos. Just tip well.

Its been a cool summer round these parts too. Not real good for the garden but great for the weeds and the lawn which I have had to mow more than normal.

So its not jus here in Kentucky.

I dont watch the weather channel or news channels here less I
hear somethin worth lookin into from the radio lol.

I think all this weather change is a lil unnerving sometimes.
I mean each year it gets colder faster an takes longer to warm up
it seems like, to me anyways.

We had 3 weeks of great weather in June here in the London/UK area and that was that summer. July had the most rain ever measured. So not a good summer here either.

With the exception of a freak thunder/lightning storm last month, we have been rain free since April. Very dry, very hot (I think we have had 30 days 100+)... ugh.

Gosh, I'm sorry you guys are having it so rough this year, but I am enjoying what's happening here in the midwest!

Usually August is just to be endured: high temps, high humidity, and even the animals don't want to go out. I have to use a beach blanket to drive my car or burn my tailfeathers. Got to where I hated summer.

This summer, initially wet and cool, and now bright and cool, with only a few returns to "normal" weather--is one of the most splendid I've seen in decades. People are going around smiling, they're out in the parks, they're walking the neighborhoods, and they Talking To Each Other!

I'm sorry that's at the expense of Saskatchewan and other points north...but we really needed this.

Our weather in Chicago has been pretty much like Kentucky. This weekend it's only supposed to reach about 70 (that's approx. 20 C) - we should be at least 15 degrees warmer. I want my summer back too! Can whoever took it, please return it? Thanks.
