Wow! You guys have some great ideas! I love the pictures, too!

I like both things to do and time to sit and take it all in. But right now my fantasy trip is soaking in all the UV I can, reading all the books in the world, and floating until I'm well out into the Gulf Stream.

(tumbleweed, there are some beautiful places in New Jersey...how come??)

I lived in Switzerland for 10 years and it's absolutely fab and bang in the middle of Europe. 4 hours drive to Milan, 4 hours drive to Paris, 4 hours drive to Germany, 4 hours drive to Provence and so forth. I would take the train to either Paris/France or Milan/Italy early morning and be there mid-morning, have lunch there, do some shopping, looking at galleries, art, sightseeing, take the last train back and be in my bed at midnight. What's not to like about that.

I have visited most of Europe, lots of Asia and USA. I'm not into "lying by the pool for 2 weeks" vacations, so if I was to choose a place to recuperate it would be on horseback in Texas/Montana/Colorado. Haven't been to Montana or Colorado - yet.
did you say texas? well next time your in the naborhood stop by, i give you them shooting lessons and that other thing, then if you want we can jump in the pich up and head west on I-10 to los cruses NM and then catch I-25 north all the thru colorado wyoming and into montana, been there many times lovly state, lots of them antalope critters, and since like she said moneys was no object we can come back down thru utah and stop and see that big hole in arizona, they have lovely cabins there , ya ive been to all these places but never on vacation

I'd like to visit Puerto Rico ... or maybe Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I like to be a little bit lazy on vacation during the day, but 'active' at night. Or, maybe once during the day, too!

An offer like that is tempting and I might take you up on it. I am a bit of an adventurer and a travel like that would be really tempting

My Dad went to Australia in the late 60's--told me I had to see it, and New Zealand, before I die. Not planning on dying anytime soon, but oh my....he told me you can be in the alps in the morning and on the beach for dinner.

Simply, wow.

Where do you like to go, meri?

Well, I'm going to sound totally lame now ... I like my parents' farm. It's 10kms from town, there's zero cell-phone reception and no noise except for animals and birds. I can snooze in the sun, it's very restful.

I'd like to go back to Hawaii and see the traditional dancing again. And maybe visit some of the parts of Hawaii I didn't go to previously.
