I'm going to really be annoyed if I spend the next 17 years saving for retirement only to be dinosaured by a comet.
You and me both, sister!

I'm headed over to mother's beach house tomorrow afternoon, with the daughter and the fiance. Soooo.....the fiance and I could get up early to watch the meteor showers on the beach at dawn Thursday morning....wrapped up together in an afghan against the morning's chill, and staying around to see the sunrise.....oooh! This sounds good .

That sounds excellent! In fact, that sounds like something I'd trade retirement for! (Though we'll still keep our fingers crossed not on the comet, eh?)

Well, we went out around 2am and saw a couple of shooting stars. Went out again at 6 am, but the cloud cover was too thick and we couldn't see anything.

Guess we'll try again tonight.

I was up at 5 this morning (my usual time) took the dogs out and did not see anything. It was a little hazy out but I thought I should still be able to see something.
