Money, the heart stealing iguana has died.

I am sad, of course. However, he was very ill and lived a very, very full life and I believe he hung in there for the humans in his life more than he did for himself.

I took the job caring for the lizards because I needed the money. Jobs are hard to come by down here. It was all I could do when I picked all 8 feet of him up for the first time. However, I came to adore him and his 3 legged comrade, Freddy.

As I said some months ago, you haven't lived until you've been in a Wal-Mart, covered in lizard vomit, checking each and every package of baby food trying to find one with the least sugar content to use to syringe feed an 8 foot green iguana.

You really haven't lived until you've watched The Price is Right with an 8 foot iguana sprawled across lap and chest with his little scaly nose nestled in your hair (snorting out salt water) and his tail curled possessively around your ankle.

He enriched my life.

... I think Money could have won the Showcase Showdown.

Awwww, the poor baby. I really wanted to ask you about him before, but didn't want to make you said if he was already gone. I'll say a little lizard prayer for him. Maybe he'll meet up with Lizzard up there in Iguana Heaven and they can laugh and laugh about how they trained the humans to dote on them.

That is sad. But I am happy that he no longer feels sickness or pain. Amazing how beasts can tear our hearts-no?

I love this picture of Lizzard. He looks so happy in that moment. Or was he wondering if you were, in fact, delicious?

I took that picture the very first time he ever actually LET me touch him (as opposed to chasing him around the house to catch him when he escaped, lol). I had been petting and petting and was all excited that he was letting me pet him without trying to discover my alleged deliciousness. When I stopped for a minute cause my arm was tired, he moved forward and put his head back in my hand and I took that picture. I still miss that mean bastid.

I'd been wondering about Money too. I'm glad he won't suffer any more but am sad for you LIT. He sounds like he was quite the character.
