ummm.... hmmmm never been to Lincoln...
great restaurant?
cool bar with live music?
I don't live in Lincoln - that's where her workshop is. Normally, though, I'd take her to the Zoo Bar for blues, but tomorrow night the band looks, well, a bit odd. So, I'm searching to see what other music there is. I'd prefer to do food here (we have much better restaurants), and music there - but it may not work out that way. I do have to meet up with a friend in Lincoln Saturday night at some point to hand off a tiara.

And THAT is a long story.

Steal one from Photobucket? Just go there, you don't even have to log in, and search for "winking emoticon." Pick one, highlight it, and at the bottom you'll see a link that says "more." Click that and one of the tabs at the top will be "get link code." Click that, then choose "IMG for bulletin boards." and copy the link, paste into thread. Fie on nonfunctioning smileys! Fie, I say!
Success! Thanks Fino

First off, I thought we'd take a walk over the Missouri. Then have a drink or two in the Old Market and maybe something to eat. We have lots of really great restaurants here.

I checked the Zoo Bar band on youtube, and it doesn't sound as bad as the weird write up I had read.

Tiara story -

My 50th birthday was during a conference in Orlando. So, a friend of mine and I brought tiaras, and wore them on my birthday (we ended up not wearing them in Disney World, because it's too hard to keep them on during rides). We got off the elevator in the hotel at one point and one of the guys getting on said "Oh look! Queens!".

Fast forward a few years - and some grad students that have worked with us are heading to a conference at the Disneyland Hotel. It's one of the guys' birthday. So, I'm handing off the tiara, and he's promised to wear it at Disneyland on his birthday and to bring home pics for me. It's the next best thing to being there!
