When was that one moment when you knew or felt that you were getting old. For me it was when I was told that I needed bi-focals.

For me it was when I wiped out on my bike and I felt all my internal organs rattle around like maracas. I realized things inside aren't quite as firm as they used to be.

When I fell asleep in the middle of staying up all night long ... I used to be able to stay up and up and up and catch a few hours and function at the top of my game ... for weeks on end.

Now, if I don't get enough sleep, people die.

Yes, it's too young to be over the hill.

Run along now and put your dolls back in your toy box before Mom gets mad.

When I wiped out on my son's skim board at the beach and nuked my shoulder. No real damage but it hurt for over a week.

When my doctor told me that my cholesterol was a bit high....fortunately I've brought it back down with diet and exercise, but I can't shake the knowing I'm getting older now.

When I wiped out playing softball and my doctor told me, "You know, you're not a kid anymore. If you'd like to remain mobile for the rest of your life, you're going to have to be kinder to your body." Then he told me to quit playing softball and sent me off to 4 weeks of physical therapy on my back.
