My office is being painted this week, so I had to move some things out of it today to the adjacent room, called the Museum. I call it the room with all those carcasses in it. It is horrifying to me and I was not thrilled to have to put my stuff in there...especially having to touch one of the things to slide it out of the way.

Fortunately my camera was in my purse so I can share for those former EH members who miss having matches with dead animal pictures.





I swear, this one wants to speak to me \/



This is a claustraphobic's worst nightmare...there is hardly any room to move without touching something dead. Eeeeewww!!!

I KNOW THAT GUY!

Seriously, I used to play poker with this lawyer and he had a 'game room' -- and it was filled with all these things he'd killed. He even had those (*shudder*) elephant leg bar stools. I refused to play cards in the room and referred to it as Animal Auschwitz.

Mel, where is this room? without being too specific of course because you don't want me to stalk you and all of that. But why is it necessary? I mean there's a water buffalo head in there. Really awful.

It's a biology department....they haul them out once in a while for teaching labs.

My office shares a wall with this room. I only recently found out what was in it, otherwise I might have been really creeped out in the fall semester when I was in my office working until 10 PM.

I'd quit....well, maybe not quit, but I'd call in for a while. As for storing thing in there, I'd keep it in my trunk. The bosses would just have to get over it.

When I was an undergrad, I had to help with some sleep study research - staying up all night in a strange building with only one other person, and that person was asleep. The sleep lab was right next to the animal lab, and listening to little critters skritch and chatter all night was unnerving.
