Why do Hostess chocolate frosted donettes taste SO much better than the larger donuts version? Someone please explain while I try to rein in my willpower and not eat any more donettes tonight.

Oh, mtnmaiden's poor thread had no responses. I don't know what a donette is!! I take it no one else does either?

Bite-sized anything rules. It's all about surface area to mass ratiofor the frosting.

I don't know that a donette is either, but I do know what Timbits are and I'll take them over the big donuts any day. Same goes for Robin's eggs. Mmm . . .

I'm not a big fan of donuts, but every once in a while I get a hankering for a Timmy's creuller.

Donuts always make me think of "Strange Brew" when the McKenzie brothers were trying to bribe the secretary for info with adonut: "It's a jelly".

Tim Horton's creullers will be my downfall - the Timbit ones. They are sinfully delicious. And the sour creamglazed ones. Those, in combination with my iced capp addiction, will be the end of me one of these days!! lol

I've never had a Donnette so can't answer. TastyKakes were the rage where I grew up (just outside Philladelphia). Their butterscotch krimpets are to die for.
