Ok so I am at day 9 of going back to the gym. I hired a personal trainer, and boy do I hurt all over, especially my toushy!!! (keep in mind I ruptured a disc 4 months ago and was using a cane until 2 1/2 months ago)

But on the GREAT side of this I have dropped 5 pounds in 9 days!! And if anyone tells me its water weight I will punch you straight in your juggular LMAO!!!!!!

Anyone feel like giving a huzzie a massage (or at least massage my ego lol).

LOL...That's a line I would use!!!

I also had back problems. It was a year in November that I had a disc removed. Before that I was walking with a cane, and at times I even used a wheelchair! It took me about 10 months to even think of exercising again. I know my limitations. I still don't have full flexibility. But I have found that walking makes me feel the best. I don't hurt after, and I get the same results from a good walk (I live on top of a HUGE hill...) as I do at the gym. Maybe not as toned as I would like, but I do Yoga for that.

One word of caution about Personal Trainers. I know that most know one routine. I watched a man in good health have a heart attack by using a Personal Trainer because it was the same routine they used on everybody. I'm not saying that your trainer doesn't know what they are doing...just a word of caution.

Now...about that 5 pounds...

Yes I had to tell him at one point to back off. If my heart rate gets to high, i don't listen to him (and I tell him so). I am actually working with 2 of them as they rotate their schedule, so I get a different workout with each and one of them "truly" gets the back injury thing and the other one I have to remind. Both have degrees in fitness (I don't know what degree title that is lol).

Oddly I hurt everywhere but there has been no change in the back pain so i figure we are doing something right.

The 5 pounds IMHO, is pure fat cells LOL
