Thread summary: This thread is for posts about things that have been decided about the first CSC meet-and-greet. ALL discussion about the M&G should take place in the thread, "Meet-and-greet?" The only posts that should appear here are those which lay out details of plans for the M&G: the dates, who-all will/may/may not/won't be there, etc.

I ask that you not post in this thread , so that people looking for information on the plans should not have to root around through discussions about which region has the most extreme climate or who has the cutest little emoticons or what have you. If you have something you think really should be here, please run it by me first: I may be able to add to what you already have.

What I am doing:

I set the date, and the city, and I am updating the list of who-all says they will, may, may not, or won't be there. That's it for me, gang. Anything else will have to be done by others.

I'm afraid unless somebody new offers to pay me the BIG bucks like yesterday, due to the loss of my boring but high-paying account I have to be moved to the "probably not" list. Can you hear me crying and sniffling???

OK all here is a little update on the Chicago meet and greet

MelinCali is lining up the hotel and gonna try and get us a group rate. When she has this lined up I am gonna PM all the still active id's that CCM has as a definate, maybe and maybe not. If you are on his not list and want to be included one of us will also post the details in these threads also.

Just got done PMing the following to all on CCM's posted list as promised. I did catch a few that may have fallen through the cracks so am posting here also.

MelinCali did some checking on rooms and she is booking a room at the Doubletree Hotel on the Magnificent Mile. I did search this one on Hotels.com and it runs about 120 to 130 a night depending on accommodations. Also should be close to events like the Taste, etc.

Here is a link to the hotel’s website. The same rate is there if you prepay for the room.

Here is a list of yes's and no's I have gotten since I sent out the PM's on the afternoon of Saturday May 16. As CCM did I will also ask that we keep this thread to the basics of the info for this like activities etc. I will edit this list as I receive more info and commitments and farming permits.
