I hope it was ok, but I took the liberty of linking to two new videos. I figured the ones we've had up have been there for awhile so most everyone has probably had the chance to enjoy them.

The new ones are 2 live performances by Donnie McClurkin. The videos are the 2nd one and the 5th one. He's got some of the best backup vocalists I've ever heard. I'm very picky about the Christian music I listen to because I need to feel that the person singing is genuine and ministering to God through song rather than just jamming to different sounds while singing Christian lyrics.

I admit that I've not been that big into music over the last 10 years or so. I've been trying to catch up and pick out some good artists to listen to. I've found that I have a pretty wide variety of things I like. I like a lot of the stuff Donnie McClurkin does, and I really like Mercy Me. I also like some of the worship stuff that Kutless does along with some Jeremy Camp songs. I like some of the Hillsongs United music too.

I mentioned on the other thread that I experienced some recent breakthough, and part of that was being able to enjoy music and worship again. It's hard to explain, but it has to do with some things that happend at the time of my divorce and the former pastor as well as some of the people in the church. I never turned my back on God, and in fact I ended up starting from scratch and experienced more growth and understanding from that point on than I had in all my life before. Yet while I was developing a personal relationship, and a much more thorough and scripturally sound basis for that relationship I had not recovered the aspect of worship and communion. I had forgotten how important music could be.

Another good video I found was of a particular worship leader who did a song for Vineyard UK. The McClurkin video, Holy; is one of the most powerful worship songs I've heard, and this one by Vineyard is one of the purest YouTube - You are a Holy God - Vineyard UK

Thanks, Walter, I enjoyed listening to this version. I've heard the song before and sung it in church but I like the way this woman sings it. It's done very worshipfully and humbly.

I just wanted to share a song with you, especially women. This song isn't just about Britney Spears... it's about Christ invading our culture and pouring his love out on your life despite the past. And he sees how our culture has shaped young women. "I can see love coming back for you". It's a song of hope.

I'm posting it in the 3rd spot on the videos links... (the video I'm replacing has the youtube code of fwsTUW4fsV4 if anyone wants to undo this change feel free, I'm the newbie here)

Beautiful song! I don't know the story behind Britney's trouble, but I do see how the world sets people up only to tear them down and it is absolutely heartbreaking to watch such things!
