Today at church we had a guest pianist. A child prodigy named Llewellyn Kingman Sanchez Werner. He is 12 years old. He entered college at 5 years old and graduatedat the age of 8 with a 4.0 and is nowfinishing up hisMasters at the Julliard School of Music - the youngest degree student in the history of the school. He did a couple of lovely pieces by Chopin during the service and then for the Postlude he blew the house away with Hungarian Rhapsody No. 8 in F-sharp minor by Franz Liszt. Everyone jumped up onto their feet yelling and applauding when he finished - which was a minor miracle because it was, after all, Senior Appreciation Sunday. They had a video camera set up next to the piano so that we could watch his hands as he played. I just cannot tell you how amazing he was!!! I searched the web for a video but couldn't find one, but here is an article about him.

As incredibly blessed as this young man is, away from the piano after the service he was just a regular boy - a very cute, regular boy- blushing furiously at all of the attention he was getting.

What a wondrous experience! Praise God!

Maybe I'll look him up to play piano on one of my albums when I get big!
