Hello all! Add your requests to the list. I will try to keep up in my own daily prayers with your requests. Let's take care of each other with His Spirit!

My request: That God would mold me into a woman of grace, gifted with wisdom, encouragement, and evangelism.

My praise: God carries me through the muck of life.

First - Congratulations! You've shown a lot of will power and determination. I love your attitude about this - and you are an inspiration. I figure if you can set your sights on loosing so much - I can certainly get off the couch and work on 20 !
Now, I'm putting my laptop down so I can change clothes and get on my shamefully under-used elliptical

Hello all,

Well, God's still working on me concerning the weight loss. It's been a see-saw battle, but I'm back on the losing end now. I think it may be because I'm gaining some muscle tone from regular exercise and activity. My friends keep telling me that they notice a difference which is a very good thing, despite a five lb gain. Please pray with me that God will heal my obesity and strengthen my desire to eat right. I appreciate all of you who have prayed for me.

Please pray for my friend Rob. He's going through a transition in life. Pray that his heart will be open to the will of our Lord and that he will follow God's will unconditionally.

Praise: One of my students and I had a discussion about the validity of the Bible and who God is. He is in the seeker stage and had some JW books with him. I realized that a lot of the verses are taken out of context of the Scripture and was able to use my Bible and re-emphasize the importance of the context as well as the individual Scripture being used. He hasn't received the Lord yet, but I believe that he will.

Many blessings to you all, and don't forget to share your praise as well as your request.

holyghostgirl, how's the business?

blessed, how much of that 20 have you lost?

Jenn - I pray that God will strengthen you and give you the resolve you need to continue this wonderful work you are doing on His beautiful temple. I pray that your friend Rob will submit his life to God's will. I pray that your student continues to keep the door of his heart open to the Holy Spirit and that you will be given the right words to encourage your student.

As for me - I have lost the same 2 lbs 3 times. I'm not sure what I am now - I haven't weighed in a few days. Though I have been working a lot of extra hours so my exercise has only been about 3 days a week instead of every day like it should be. I could use a few prayers here.

Jenn - As an fyi in case you haven't tried this already -I have found that a tape measure can be a far more reliable that the scale when you are exercising and changing your body composition.

Praise: It's official, I am down a total of 65 LBS! WooHOOOO! Praise the Lord.

Prayer: That God wouldlet my husband find me by June 2009. I'm being specific because I feel that it shows faith even though I know God lives outside of the realm of time.

Hello to all. This is my first time to ever join this kind of group. I am an older (58) woman who just lost the love of her life on Christmas morning to a fatal heart attack. The grief process is all consuming and I am in need of comfort, prayers and hope for my future.

Grandma_to_Six Welcome to the group. I hope you can find some comfort in the fellowship of Christian friends here.
I know you must be hurting. I pray that you God will move in close to you and fill that emptiness in your life. I pray He will give you comfort and strength to face the hard days ahead. I pray that the love of Christ will give you hope and certainty that you will be able to go on, and that one day it will not hurt quite so deeply.
