Ok, but what are your top 10?

(And how many have you seen on the list? Any that don't belong? Any that do besides Life is Beautiful?)

I have seen probably between 73 and 77 of those movies and agree. I would add: Brokedown Palace / Crash / Donnie Darko / Everything is Illuminated / Fracture / Garden State / Girl, Interrupted / The Green Mile / Green Street Hooligans / Interview with the Vampire / Into the Wild / The Italian Job / Legends of the Fall / Man in the Moon / Martian Child / Meet me in St. Louis / Murder by Numbers / Pearl Harbor / Prefontaine / The River King / Rudy / The Secret Garden / Shag / Snatch / Stay / Steel Magnolias / Unfaithful / Vanilla Sky / Waiting / Wedding Crashers / When a Man Loves a Woman / Wristcutters / Wonderland

Girl, Interrupted - WOW!...what an underated movie

But wait a second here...this list has lots of good movies but top 100? How?...which films would you remove? You think Man in the Moon (which I truly thought was crap) is better than Casino? How about Princess Bride...how about Spinal Tap?...Breakfast Club....Color of Money?...there are endless really good movies not in the top 100...Minority Report...and FIGHT CLUB! (top 10 for me...not in the top 100...not sure most people get it to be egotistic)...Nighthawks....Tron....The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

Brokedown Palace
Crash ((WHICH ONE???))
Donnie Darko
Everything is Illuminated
Fracture
Garden State ((OVERATED!))
Girl, Interrupted
The Green Mile ... hmm...Great...but not top 100.
Green Street Hooligans
Interview with the Vampire
Into the Wild (Absolutely not top 100! NO way! NO!...but it was good...I mean you gotta realize there's a big gap between "TOP 100" OF ALL TIME and any one of the 2-3 dozen films a year that are pretty good.)
The Italian Job
Legends of the Fall
Man in the Moon
Martian Child
Meet me in St. Louis
Murder by Numbers
Pearl Harbor
Prefontaine
The River King
Rudy ((good...no way top 100)
The Secret Garden
Shag
Snatch ((good...no way top 100)
Stay
Steel Magnolias
Unfaithful
Vanilla Sky
Waiting
Wedding Crashers (sheesh....what movie is this better than?()
When a Man Loves a Woman
Wristcutters
Wonderland

[*]I didn't say they would replace any movies in the top 100 of all time. I haven't seen all of the movies in "your" top 100, so I can't say, IMO, whether they belong there or not. I was just saying I would add these on after the top 100. I do agree with the additional movies listed (Casino, Fight Club, Breakfast Club, Princess Bride, Minority Report... Haha! I forgot all about Mr. Limpet) as being great, but not top 100. I only listed some movies I own that I could remember off the top of my head... I would actually have to research the movies I have seen to create a true Top 100. [*]Crash - 2004. I have seen the 1996 version once and that was good enough for me.[*]The Green Mile would be top 100 for me. I have seen the movie and read the book several times, and still enjoy to this day... that is what makes something top 100 for me.[*]I think I need to see a lot more movies to claim an All Time Top 100 movie list. I am only 25, soI still have plenty of years to watch movies from the past, present and future to actually put claim behind a list of such caliber. People always are amazed at how many movies I have seen, but I don't think I have seen nearly enough...[/list]

>> I was just saying I would add these on after the top 100

You mean 101-125?

>> Crash - 2004. I have seen the 1996 version once and that was good enough for me.

(they are different movies...)

>> The Green Mile would be top 100 for me. I have seen the movie and read the book several times, and still enjoy to this day... that is what makes something top 100 for me.

But that's not what the top 100 is...they're not people's favorites, they're kinda ' the 100 films that represent the best of the craft of making movies'.

I've seen Shawshank 10x...but it's not a top 100 film...same for Ronin, Hard Times, Ironweed, Back to Future, and Rocky Balboa (6).

I know that's perhaps not a very fair distinction but it's really not 'favorites' but instead 'best'.

has anyone seen the happening yet? that was freaky...
I saw the Happening. It was kind of creepy how everyone just kept commiting suicide. But seriously, Mark Whalburg acting was such a softy. Its Mark Whalburg for cryn out loud. Um, I ended up being a little bit dissapointed. But I will say there were several times during the movie I had goosebumps.
