Hi everyone,

I have hypothyroidism and can't seem to lose weight. I take Synthroid but that doesn't seem to be helping.

I would love to hear from those of you who have lost weight with hypothyroidism. Any tips or advice would be great.

Thanks.

Remember; Calories are calories; a measure of the heat produced from foods, and the measure of how fast you burn them. If you burn more than you consume, your body can't do anything but lose weight. Become aware of what you eat; if you look in a dictionary a diet is simply a list of what you eat and how much. It's not a plan to lose or gain weight. Get a way to burn up those calories in to your life. Take a walk. Do something that makes you sweat or breathe hard; the weight will come off despite your condition.

Get this book: LIVING WELL WITH HYPOTHYROIDISM by Mary J. Shomon I purchased my copy at barnes and noble but it should be a fairly easy find anywhere. If you can't afford to purchase read sections each time you go to store.

It answers any possible question you could have about your struggles with hypothyroid.

Let me know what you think of it after you purchase.
