I would encourage those who would like to lose body fat, gain muscle, and have more energy to investigate this lifestyle. Just short of 10 years ago, when I was 30 lbs overweight (on a 5'10" frame), I switched to eating and working out under this program. In three months I had lost at least 20 lbs of fat and gained a good 10 lbs. of muscle. A decade later, still following that program at about the 85% level or so, I have had little difficulty maintaining a very healthy body mass and plenty of energy. After much study of many different eating and exercise regimens, I felt it was the first one I encountered that was both nutritionally and physically sound and not overly demanding. I never kidded myself that I would look like the folks they promote in the book and on the website but at 5'10" and 155 lbs. I think I am in pretty good shape for a man in his mid 50s.
