I just had to write about him perhaps as encouragement to all of us.
There is this older neighborish man whose name is Peter, a good Christian name, a man of about 70plus in age, I suppose.
I saw Peter there with his more casual attire - you know, sleeveless top and work pants - tending to his front garden the other day. Although having seen this neighbor occasionally, I had never seen him in other than his suit clothes.
(You know, those proper clothes that seem to stiffly hide a regular person behind something that they aren't really?)

When I saw Peter, this 70plus man with the good Christian name, I was almost shocked at my interest in him - there he was with bare arms which were always hidden in a suit coat - nice arms that were rather - muscular in this casual attire of his.
"Hmmmm," I found myself thinking.
And heard my self saying to my daughter who was beside me at the time, "Things are looking up".

Then I, for the first major time, really, since my husband's death realized that ""Gosh, I am still living -- and isn't this all intriguing?"

If you are lucky he will have the same feeling. The first guy that got my heart pumping again unfortunately had too much going on in his life to be more than a good friend. So rather than lose the friend I let the other go, but it is a way of knowing you are ready to try again.

I am very content with my life right now.
But it is nice to know that I am still 'woman.'
