here's a question/thought:

the only time i think that fetishes get into the gray area is infantilism and the like.

for the most part, people who indulge in these fetishes are not or will never be child molesters, because their fetish is being the infant/child.

however, I wonder if most of these people were abused as children, and if this sort of play is more harmful than helpful.

NOW. what i think is a bigger issue is the young girl fetish, even if the participants are 18, (schoolgirls, "barely legal" porn and the like) because it's a very small window from 18 to 16 or 14, which is why we see all those men on To Catch A Predator.

Yeah I've always wondered what is in those TCAP guys minds when they go to the house, chatting with the underage decoys, etc. For those people I'm sure the issue/problem is way way beyond sex...whatever that might be.

I just think that to them, it's easier to "score" with a girl who in 5 years wouldn't have given them the time of day.

clearly, they have failed with women. so they default to the closest thing- an easy target.

What I've always thought strange is the dichotomy between "normal" for men and for women. Some things are just more acceptable to the general population for one gender but not for the other.

Example #1: Calling a man Daddy is a standard turn on, and no one thinks anything of it. Calling a woman Mommy is seen as strange.

Example #2: A dominatrix is thought of as hot. A man in the same position is a bully.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with any of these attitudes. I definitely have some things that have that "eewww" factor for me. It just fascinates me to see the difference.

I think, on those predator shows, they should dig a tiger trap in the front yard of the house where the scumbag is hoping to meet his "date". When he falls in, throw a yard of dirt on him, and reset it for the next loser.

I often work with and teach teens, (girls and boys) and girls that age admire and trust older men...it sickens and angers me that anyone would betray that trust.
