A woman baseball fan has been charged with offering sex for tickets to watch her team play in the World Series.
Susan Finkelstein, 43, a married mother of two, was arrested by an undercover police officer who answered her internet advertisement for tickets to the Philadelphia Phillies’ seven-match series against the New York Yankees for baseball’s top prize.
“Diehard Phillies fan — gorgeous tall buxom blonde — in desperate need of two World Series tickets. Price negotiable — I’m the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!” she allegedly wrote on the Craigslist site.
Police scouring the internet small-ads site for illegal activity spotted the advert and set up a sting operation. An undercover officer set up a meeting with Ms Finkelstein at a bar in the Philadelphia suburbs. Over beers, she allegedly told the officer that she needed two tickets — one for herself and one for her husband. Seats for the games are selling for an average of $650 on internet sites and prime seats fetch as much as $9,999.
The officer said that he and his brother had a ticket. Ms Finkelstein allegedly offered to perform sex acts on both of them. “Well, I’d rather have two tickets, and I could take care of both of you,” she allegedly said.
She was charged with a misdemeanour count of prostitution.
Ms Finkelstein insists that she hoped only to flirt to get cheap tickets. “I was looking for a way to get reduced World Series tickets,” she told Inside Edition. Her lawyer said she was “a nice lady overcome with Phillies fever”. Ms Finkelstein, who will appear in court on December 3, has now been offered tickets by a radio station and a car dealer for the World Series game in Philadelphia tomorrow.
“It definitely wasn’t worth all this . . . turmoil and anxiety,” she said. “Hopefully, the silver lining is I do get to see the game.”

I guess cops in Philadelphia are bored? Just throwing this one out there for discussion and not judging this avid baseball fan She does look like a recent eH match though, lol

I wonder if Timeless..knows this Phillies fan?

reading and watching the stories in news. I guess her and her husband were huge PP fans that many people knew of.

In NY, we Yankees fans know of a few crazies, you see them at every game or in the parking lot..

The real problem here is police spent taxpayers money to set up a sting operation for this ... Philadelphia has a rather substantial crime problem, and I personally don't see where this compares to 'real' crime they could have been working.

I'm sure the vice squad got a huge chuckle out of this. It's ridiculous.

Why is that a problem? If you were ripped off one way or another from an internet scam or whatever would you expect a police department without a cyber unit to solve the crime!

You can't pick apart a particular crime. If it had nothing to do with tickets and just sex & money would you still say the same thing?

And there were probably 100+ 'real hookers' they could have been arresting that night, but they chose to focus on this one.

Good job Phildelphia PD! Thanks for making the streets safe!
