i am a single mother of two girls and i have been dating interracially for a little while and i find that it is most comforting for me and i am happy doing it. I just have not been meeting the right kind of guys but then again i have not been on the best sites either. i am just wondering why can't i find a nice guy who will accept me and my kids that date interracially?

Because you aren't looking for just any old man. That, you've found. (Haven't we all?!?!) You are looking for that one special man who can meet you intimately in every domain of your life. He is rare. As frustrating as that rarity is, it's also a huge blessing.

People date interracially for a lot of different reasons. Some are healthy, some frankly, aren't, (in my opinion.) If someone is dating your race and not YOU, or vice versa, I think there's a serious problem. Fortunately for us, mature, like-minded men do exist in every race. Where you look does make a HUGE difference. If you shop at the thrift store, you might find something absolutely wonderful... but you'll schlock through a whole lotta yuck before you find it.

Like a dear friend shared with me a little while back: "Don't give up 5 minutes before your miracle arrives!" He's out there right now, shaking his head and wondering where the heck YOU are! May you find one another soon, and may you both keep hope and endurance burning in the interim.

He's hard to find becasue he's worth finding. Just make sure you are as well!

Maybe some of them are just treading the water per say and are just curious what it would be like with you. When it comes to a serious long term or marriage they tend to look more so within their culture. This could be the reason. I think you should be serious about a relationship early in dating and make it known to him that you are not in for a short term dating. This way you will filter out those thatare realy serious about an interracial relationship and those that are just treading the water.

I,ve been attracted to African-American men since college. I have dated many during the 70's, but, e-Harmony hasn't sent me any matches. Aren't black men attracted to white women anymore?

They are! I know I am anyways. Anita925 I'm not sure how accepting it is in the later age brackets but I must say after my last failed relationship my grandmother who now resides with my parents lovingly said to me, "Why don't you try a black woman?" I said, "Grandma!"

So yeah, I'm not really sure how it is in the later years but if most black men, are like me then I'm sure you will find your ebony prince sooner if not later. Maybe trying different sites will help. I'm not going to say that EH is the end all be all but it is kind of at the expensive end of the possible internet dating sites.

Have you tried AfroRomance? I've found them to be the best.
