Here in Toronto, Canada is very common, but some people who are from outside of the city who come visit, stare and glare. I have always dated someone of a different race, i dated my own race once and it didnt work out. But whether you are are black or white, or chinese or indian, people do stare and glare and make comments under their breaths, but its common enough that it doesnt cause much problems here in the city.
Also we are a very multi culture city so you are prone to see interacial and biracial relationships around.

It's rather common here in Columbus, Ohio as well. I've never run into any direct problems from outsiders with any of my interracial relationships. I imagine there are probably some people who have a problem with it; but they seem to keep their thoughts to themselves.

I have read everone's post and not one talks about White/Native American couples. And this whole country, all 49 of 50 states is essentially Ndn Country. Is there still such a deep-seated hate/fear/guilt maybe towards NA? or hate/fear towards whites? I have always been interested in Native cultures, since I was a girl. I dated one guy in college who was Cherokee. In Missouri, if you claim NA, it is usually Cherokee. I was married to a white man for 20yrs. Now I realize what I really want is someone who is Sioux. That's who I'm attracted to. I learned about the culture and language in college and want to learn more. I'm teaching myself Lakota. I go to powwows, even went to So. Dakota for one. That was great! I felt very comfortable, a little shy at times, until I started talking to some folks. Any comments from anyone on this?

I am in northern california and interracial dating/ marriage is not uncommon here. I am an african american woman and I have dated asian men. In my experience I notice people staring only because it's a little uncommon to see an african american woman with an asian man however most people just smile. I think for the most part that many people believe that love is color blind.
