Work, family, weath, success, happiness? What's your focus? What do you live for, and what are you doing with your life? What, specifically, does living for God looks like in your life? Are you volunteering at an orphanage or donating half of your salary to fund an overseas missions organization or leading a Bible study or adopting a child from the slums of Guinea? What are you Christian guys doing with you lives? Or what God inspired dreams do you have for your futures?

I have emailed torrean to give us more incite as to where she is coming from on this, but I have to admit, I think it is a good - even though pointed question so I will reword it. What are some ways you view as important in living your faith in the world?

For me, the scriptures about letting the little children come to him and what you do for a little one you do for him come to mind as I find my call is to work with children. It doesn't matter where, though I am a teacher. I find children find me whereever I am. I have also had wonderful opportunities to work in shelters for children as well as being supportive to families with children in my church.

I am also privileged to have a job where I get to encourage the creativity of children. This has led to conversations where their parents talk about their faith as somehow, though I do not preach my faith in anyway at school, people seem to see me as a person of faith in some way I haven't even figured out yet.

It may not be a big thing in the eyes of the world, but it is the corner I have been given so I will live there to the best I can.

I'm assuming by 'guys' you were including everyone.
I'm blooming where I was planted here in my little corner in Alabama. At work, I try to live by the verse 'Do everything as unto the LORD' and witness when and where I can. I do a lot of praying. I've seen prayer change people and events - and I know it changed me at times.
Not exciting or earth-shattering, but I hope I make a difference where I am.

My goal is to acknowledge my sins and work to decrease them. I think it's so simple for people to realize in others what they fail to realize/acknowledge in himself.

Let he without sin cast the first stone....

People in glass houses....

The pot calling the kettle black...

All of these and more.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

I can't do any more than that.

21His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.

The question for me is, have I been faithful over the small or few things. We dont need to perform grand scale things to recieve the approval of our Lord. Just be faithful with what you have now and see where God brings you from their.

Loving and caring for the people in my life. These are hard times for many and I try to bring a little light to them.

I desire that the Lord glorify his name through my life...however that may be, in His will. I'm always deeply moved and inspired by people like Joni Erickson Tada, who met with circumstances in life that she never desired or dreamed of (she was a diver paralyzed from the neck down) but moved forward in the courage of the Lord to draw so many to his name....even through her suffering.
I know I don't have the strength to endure anything of that magnitude but I know that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
So my prayer is that he would use my life, however he sees fit.

I don't do very much. This is what I can think of currently:
~ the basics: praying, reading my Bible, attending church, Bible study etc.
~ being upfront about my faith in largely non-Christian groups. I usually do this by mentioning casually I'm not available Sunday mornings because I will be at church with my mobile OFF. This has later led into some discussions with (mostly) my team around what I believe, why I believe etc.
~ trying to help others in useful ways. Just little things like picking up the dirty coffee cups, cooking a meal for some friends who currently have 9 kids (4 are fostered)

I think a big one for me is making myself AVAILABLE. Because I am a introvert and more than happy to live in my little bubble, peeping out occasionally!
