Seems there is some interest in doing this group grope....so I thought I'd just start off with a Spring Theme for absolutely no reason other than I love daffodils and they are joyously abloom all over my yard right now.

This will be an adventure of some sort-who knows what my brain will decide to spit out on the 20th! A Spring Adventure!

What say we begin on the Spring Equinox, which I think is the 21st this year..that will give us time to actually commit to doing the writing.

Few RULES (I hate RULES)
Write in the order you have assigned yourself. I'll start with a topic on March 20th and whoever signs up as the #2 writer then adds her/his paragraph or page..no minimum or maximum amount to write..time to be creative!

Lets keep an actual sense of continuity to the story. Remember if you introduce crazy uncle Ned, the next writer needs to follow thru with Ned as well as other characters...however, since fun is the goal here, if you are hit with Crazy Ned speaking to you in your writers brain, go for it.

You have 4 days to write your bit...and sooner is nice, but lets count on every 4 days for this-that way if you don't check by here daily (as I haven't been doing) you can still try to remember you have a story to continue in 4-8-12 days, where ever your fall in the program.

My last online group had text colors assigned to each of us - it was nice to easily identify others writing by their text color. I'll start this but if you don't want to do it, don't bother.

Finally..cut and paste the whole story (into word for example) then repost the whole thing when you add your bit. I know some groups just keep tacking on paragraphs, but I've seen things deteriorate badly that way--and lose the story line amongst wise acre remarks..which are great and welcome, but don't really make a story.

OK thats it.

Heres the sign up sheet--this is a commitment-ya know the "C" word....so please follow thru. If we haven't heard from you in 4 days, someone else will need to pick up your place...and if you get writers block, please let the group know.

Sigh Up Here--cut and paste to your return post to this thread,,,,

#1 ROXY Story start on March 20
#2 3.24/
#3 3.28/
#4 4.1
#5 4.5
#6 4.9
#7 4.13

I believe some people wrote in their commitments in the other thread complete with colors. Reposting it here. Or ... are we changing colors now?

Idea for group writing project/#1 Roxy will pick a photo and a beginning paragraph, others will round robin, writing in turn, so we need comminments (yikes)

for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and etc writers writing in order. So on that note Roxy is #1 And I'llwrite in the color of spring violets
#2
#3 I'll just take this color since Roxy stole my favorite crayon. (nightling)
#4 Wootz
#5 Meri
#6-I (Bretagne) shall write in crimson
#7
#8
#9
#19

No limits on how much you can write /no minimums. You can write a paragraph or a page or a line if thats all you have to contribute. We could write in different colors so we know who is writing what/or not..whatever the group decides.

I vote for this toi begin on the day of the Spring Equinox March 20/21 depending where you are in the world. and the topic will be one of lighthearted fanciful spring mysteries.,

Lets write for 2 weeks at the minimum and 3 at the max. Writing in order requires each contributor is ready when the story is turned over to him/her...we're counting on you here!

The only Rule is Lets Have Fun...and the corollary to that might be...and lets make something good to read too.

Heaven help me, but that quote from Austin Powers is going through my head right now...

There were about seven people that expressed interest on the last thread, but I vote we boot Meri into numbah two slot if no one else shows. If Meri declines, I'll take it. That way we have a two way backup. *grin*

Fantastic idea Rox. I'm a creative guy, but I'm a huge advocate for structure.....especially when dealing with right brainers. lol
With guidelines, I think this could be something pretty cool.

(WSM chuckles at everyone jumping over the second slot)

I'll do it.

1. Roxy
2. Well Spoken
3. Nightling
4. Wootz
5. Meri
6. Bretagne

I'd love to join but this is a little too cramped for my style of writing. I do better writing alone most of the time unless it's Star Trek or Sci Fi. Something about rules just make me bristle. I know you have a minimum of rules.
