I have learned to see the difference between the two types of words with this discovery being exciting to me, and I would like to have some feedback about my opinions on this.

What I have seen is that there are different words we write and/or speak and, thus, read, coming each from separate and apposite places: one type of word, the secular, comes from the mind and, as good and as educated as that mind is, it is still secular; the other Words come only from the Spirit.
Then, I asked myself, 'what really is the difference and how can I tell the two types of words apart?'
I have discovered that the former are words (as from those inspirational speakers , poets , story writers , etc.) that might educate and maybe even move the reader/listener in some way to attempt great things; the latter, however, are words that may spiritually move the reader/listener in some great way – these words touch and heal spiritually which is, then, always made evident in the body and /or emotions in some way.

I also learned years ago, that the difference is easily discerned by the Christian, writer/speaker or not and literally trained in words or not.
Trouble is, the fact that most Christians seem to fail to recognize and use this discernment available to all at the moment of their rebirth.

Hi Loxley,

Well, secular to me means 'worldly things' and this is certainly the context I infer when I use the word secular.

I think we assign emotional value to words and it is the emotional value - and not the word itself - which has the power to move us.

I don't believe that all Christians have the same gifts, it therefore also follows that not all Christians will have the capacity to use words to heal others. I don't - I am too blunt and opinionated with my thoughts!

I am not sure if you know - there is another group here called Christian Singles. You may like to post there (if you haven't) as there are members there who are intellectually streets ahead of me and I think you may get more opinions on a partially Christian based topic from a predominantly Christian group.

Thank you for your kind response, Meri.
Yes, I do belong to the Christian Singles, but thanks for the mention of it.

Christianity, as far as I am concerned, has nothing whatsoever to do with the intelligence of which you speak.
Quite the opposite, really.
That is yet another good thing that is so freeing about it
Although people still believe the opposite to be true.
I caused a lot of trouble in seminary where I went for a few years, ruffling ‘intelligent’ feathers and all.
Fun, however.
