Greetings! Welcome to the Over 40-Single Christians group! Please make yourself at home. It is my prayer that this will become a place of support, encouragement and fellowship.

I tried to send a comment welcoming each of you to the group, but in case I missed anyone.....WELCOME! :-D

Please feel free to take a minute and introduce yourselves so we can get to know each other. I'll start:

I am 42 years old, and I have been a christian for 34 years. I am a nurse, and have been in the profession for 21 years. I am also just finishing a bachelor's degree in psychology and health science. I graduate (FINALLY!) on July 11. Whooo Hooooo!

I am divorced with Biblical grounds, and I have been a single parent for 13 yrs. I have a 15 yr old son and a 13 yr old daughter. My son does not live with me; my daughter does.

I am also a musician- I play the flute and piano, and I sing. I used to play on the worship team at church, but my flute was stolen and I can't afford to replace it. Oh well.

My favorite passage of scripture is Phil. 4:6-8. It is quoted on my profile page.

Well, there's just a little bit about me....how 'bout you?

I am 48 and widowed for 6+ years after 10 years of marriage. I married later in life so I appreciated Karen all the more. God dragged me from Korea to GA to meet her. I have two wonderful daughters and a great life. I miss Karen but I am not looking for another Karen. We were both flawed (as we all are) but our flaws meshed to make us more than our parts. I attend a Baptist church and firmly believe God has a plan for us.
