What? I AM Ready! What I don't get is all of the women who stall when it comes to getting to OC...I must have about 30 of them....plus so many women think that *Prince Charming* (Perfect hair, perfect bod, etc) is their deserved right, and I/we are just low-life to pity. Ughhhh. Me, cynical? Nahhhh ;-)

I think I am a bit too old (almost 46) and little too heavy (35 lbs to lose) for any really single guy to take a good look at me. I do not take good pictures. I am doomed.

I "think" I'm ready to find Mr Right. See, everything else in my life is going great, almost perfect, no complaints whatsoever... to the extent that when a match begins to show interest, I get kinda scared wondering whether I'm tempting fate.
Might any of you ladies have similar "issues"... and might this be why some of the men also appear to chicken out?

They are scared of what may happen after the excitement wears off. Too often they can't handle the twists and turns of a relationship. If you haven't learned how to give and take and your not well-grounded in yourself, you will have recurring problems. Plus some just want sex unfortunately.
I have found the love of all time and it is possible to be happy. Sorry but I'm taken so you will have to find someone else. LOL when I joined eHarmony it was to see if ALL women were nuts like my ex-----glad it wasn't true and I gave it a shot.

Lately, many of the women I've communicated with from eH aren't ready in one way or another for a solid relationship. One might have too many emotionally problems. Another worked all the time and barely had time to date.
I've had fun dates, don't get me wrong.

I suspect part all this is me. I think I'm more aware of the big warning signs after all these years of dating. So when one keeps hitting me on the head while seeing someone, I tend to recognize it quicker.

As far as guys on here just looking to score...I guess that's true too, but many guys like me are looking for something more meaningful ...which is much harder to find.

So, what causes a guy to sign up on EH when they aren't ready? I just don't get it. Is it a whim or what?
I think most of us are ready, I use the "I'm not ready" line when I want to let her down a bit gently that I am ready but not with her

Are the 'not ready' guys just hoping to bag a stunning 20 year old? Not willing to commit to making an 'actual' choice of someone who may not fit this description, but also not acknowledging that they themselves are not perfect either?

let's all be honest, not one of us is perfect! But hopefully we've learned a little along the way and can act like adults. Rather than say "I'm not ready" be honest. Tell them the connection is just not there for you. Unless you have been dating a long time, you should be able to end it amicably.

We all have differences. That is what makes the world interesting! That is what makes relationships interesting. But it takes more than one date to discover all we can bring to a relationship. However, if the connection is not there, it's just not there.
