40+ never married, no kids ... I ask myself the same question about women in their 40s that aren't carrying 40 extra pounds.

That's been the case for me, Butter47fly; more of my matches have been 50+, though I'm now corresponding with a 45-year-old eH match. Can't say I've had much luck running into single fortysomething men in "real life," either. And a lot of my other fortysomething matches have children, which I do NOT want and which my current match does not have. (Nor are either of us carrying any extra weight... our baggage is entirely otherwise! )

Men in their 40's, who ae childless, fit, solid in profession, are looking for a woman with similar traits who are within 8 - 10 years of age. Women with kids, extra poundage, socio-economically behind, may find it harder to get the man they want.

Women think there is something wrong with a guy who is 40+ and never married and no kids. True story.

brickwallsbreak, the problem is it that most women over 40 have had children and the bodies are not what they once were. look for a match that your brain can connect first. then, the physical will have no choice. sex is 90% mental 10% physical. think about it

In my early 40's hardly ever ment guys my age .... dated mostly younger guys. Now that I am almost 48 I am meeting guys my age or early 50's. Most of the guys like me have been married multiple times. I am really happy to be meeting single guys my own age again.

Men interested in sex are going to have youth as a higher priority. Men interested in a relationship are not going to care.

I don't care. Sex is not, and can not, be a significant factor in a relationship. I've been interested in women who were 62....which I didn't know afterward, and still didn't care.

There's absolutely no way sex can satisfy emotional validation. I've heard talk show hosts claim that sex is how a woman shows a man he loves her but I think that's absurd.

You can't ever get enough of something you don't really need.

I have no idea where the forty-something men are. I can not find any!
I am 47 without 40+ extra pounds and no children. I also am told I look 10 years younger than my age.
People are constantly asking me why I am not married. They are always shocked I am not married and have no boyfriend.

When asked the same question all the time I reply I do not know any nice singe over 40 men to date. Then I ask them if they know any they could introduce me to and they do not. That always ends the discussion.
Seriously are there any single men my age in Orange County CA?
