I wonder how to 'really' get to know someone when you find yourself 100 miles away and trying to get to know one another. Do you do the background check? I have heard many stories where the person finds out the other person is actually in another relationship and it was easy to hide because they were 100 miles away....

I'm currently emailing with someone who lives about 75 miles from me. Just taking it easy and we'll maybe get together (maybe not) if he ever gets around to asking!

Hi oregon,
I'm Lisa. I was born and raised in Washington so your nam ecaught my attention. as to your question, I've considered the same thing. The ansewere I came uip with..... One benefit of haveing a relationship with Eloheim, is that you can and by the proffession of your faith, should, ask him about any relationship you would consider. He then has his own way of getting his message to you and if your listening, he'll tell you what he wants you to do.

Personaly, I've considered that If Eloheim causes me to meet my special man on E. H., He will cause one of us to move to a reasonable distance to the other, during a deeper consideration phase. If we're both realy looking for Elohiems direction, moving to establish it will be as peaceful as anything else he has ever lead us to in our lives. The spirit within helps to bear witness to what is real. Eloheim will give warning if your considering someone who isn't his chosen.

Read the scriptures about marriages. Many people were sent traveling to be joined with the one Eloheim Chose. In some cases, The man traveled to get her and bring her back with him, and in other cases, The man traveled to meet her and then stay in her home land.

E. H may be a place where you simply find some single freinds to talk with. While your special man gets sent to you in a seeting already in your geographical are.IF you keep keep your focus on Eloheims plan for you, and get to know people as freinds, I'm sure you'll develop some valuable relationships.

If you don't have "Strongs Concordance"to find those scriptures I mentioned. Let me know, by sending a personal message and I'll e-mail you a list.

I beleive you mean "long distance" relationships. and I have to agree that after a certain point in getting to know eachother my email and phone, If you have any confidence at all that it can be seroiuse, you realy have to bring the relationship to driving distance. You just miss so much about eachother, including testing chemistry, if you don't spend time together in person. I personaly operate my life undere the Faith That Eloheim Is involved and helping to guide my life in possitive directions, so that would include marriage. So If he doesn't give some kind of clue that I've connected with the one special man I can spend my life with . I'll keep him in the Freind zone with no stress at all. And I make sure all my freinds know that they are in freinds zone unless I feel something more after getting to know them.
Suggestion for all who read this: If your considering someone that you've been getting to know, and its' a relationship where you have a true on going phone relationship, and one of you isn't seriouse enough to move to "in-person" considersration, Put YOURSELF in the freindship zone, reduce communication, and open yourself to real possibilities.
We can all be pro-active when it comes to making wise decisions about relationships and figure out where we stand effectionately with people.
Take care all,
Lisa

I wouldn't poopoo a relationship that is 75 miles apart...I have two friends that met their husbands on a dating service and they had long distance relationships....If the guy is into you he will make it happen. One of my friends is now married 14 years to a guy that lived very far, He would spend weekends with her and she would spend the weekend where he lived, they took turns. If there is chemistry, and the person meets your criteria for a mate? try it!

I am 45 yrs and i have read these liniks with interest.
This is incredible and i must say i nearly had a 'fit' when i was linked as a positive match to a man 61!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1years of age that would have suited someone except that i am a young 45, also i did not have any matches for almost 1 month YOU BET I STARTED TO GET PARANOID? it was as if i was the last woman left.

Then can i share this story about me? Well, i almost got scammed off another dating site by this by a true true bleeeeep...... who thought 'i would send $2000 pounds by Western Union to him?
DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR?????????????????????????? ??????
You may say GET OUT OF HERE but ladies and gentleman I HAVE COME TO ANNOUNCE THEY ARE OUT THERE!!! THE SCAMMERS WHO WRITE CUTE POEMS ETC ETC ETC....are out there in full swing and partying on some of our precious goodwill and trust. But i say God help them. As i trust God has that business in hand AGREE? Amen .....
But i am just laughing at my recent situation as i know God says we must guard our hearts its in the Bible and i had a real encounter and revelation with God when i saw that scripture and realised what He meant for me. I can't speak for each person here but i can definately say that for those of us that are searching or waiting we need to KNOW THAT WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW THAT God is IN THE RELATIONSHIP TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO so in my case there will definately be 3 PEOPLE - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT. That equates to: - Man - God (Holy Spirit) - Me....

THAT IS WHY it is so important to TRUST in the Lord with all our strength and all our might for HE will DIRECT our paths. I am not claiming to be perfect or an ideal individual but i learn't a beautiful thing that the HOLY SPIRIT is a person and desires to COMMUNICATE with HIM he is a PERSON living IN US and if we SEEK HIM He will TELL US all TRUTH and LEAD us to RIGHTEOUSNESS and HE reveals LIES and DECEPTIONS in a wonderful way! I am SO HAPPY I ESCAPED...is there anyone out there who can celebrate with me that God is REAL and He loves us sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooMUCH!!!!!!! !
I just so needed to get this off my chest and talk about the GOODNESS OF God and that HE is a DELIVERER.......and SO DESIRES to have us turn to HIM in every area of our LIVES that includes the LOVE LIFE.....thats why many of us are here anyway?Love and Peace

p.s as for answering the original question:
Long distance relatioships are ones that have to be cultivated with much wisdom and guidance - it is in my opinion - and i am sure many would disagree - THAT YOU NEED MEET THE PERSON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ! ONCE YOU decide to take the intended relationship to the next level.
Lets face it, it's unwise to let your imagination, 'imagine the best' or 'worse about anyone' we are humans and are best served by interraction and spending time doing and talking to each other as well as seeing those little things that bring us closer together or not.
I have to ask the question to anyone who cares to respond DOES God imagine us NO he created us to know one another by communicating. Relating over the WEB for months and months and months no nd is a NO BRAINER. NO OFFENCE 'Well thats my opinion'.......

Sorry you had to experience that. I was recently scammed myself. But I got wise & severed all ties with my scammer before any more damage was done. That's one of the risks of long-distance relationships. Don't get me wrong - I think a LDR can work, because I've seen it work for people I know. I was in one myself awhile back with someone I met on eHarmony. (This was before I met the scammer.) It didn't pan out in the end, but it was great while it lasted. We were honest with each other throughout & we even met in person once.
So, I won't dismiss the possibility of another long-distance relationship. I'm just going to be a lot more careful not to let myself be taken in.
Yes, LDR's can & sometimes do work. They just require more effort & We really have to be heads-up to keep from getting burned.
BTW, I recoomend the group "Victims of Online Dating Scams".

Thanks AzGuy..
No i did not end up sending any cash but of course but i am glad i had the experience.
On a positive note someone in my cell group at Church married someone over seas and that person came to the UK we hosted them they and then they married 5 months later and still happily married so i am still optimistic about things, Any-how i realise how important it is to do everything with God in mind He just likes to get involved too i have found.
