I think there is actually more pressure in the bar scene than with online dating too. Maybe that is just me but I used eHarmony rather casually and had excellent results. Going to bars and trying to impress women just so they would talk to me seemed like too much pressure and pressure when trying to meet people is bad news.

Bars are a waste of my time. They're loud. You can't think.

You go to a bar, get drunk, can't hear what anybody says. That's not dating.

On here, at least you're 'there' without mass amounts of noise clogging your brain. This is my second attempt at EH. First one dis-heartened me, but after two failed relationships I'm willing to try again based on 'scientific matching.'

We'll see how it goes this time. I have over 230 matches. 30 of which I consider attractive. None of whom ever responded. I may be on my way to a historical repeat.

I am 28, tried EH, match, okcupid, and pof at some point in the last year and a half. I don't do bars/clubs and other then work I don't really see any time I will meet someone. I mean really, as great as just happen to meeting the man of your dreams at the grocery store sounds great, how often does that really happen?? I noticed most of the people that are matched with me on eh never respond, were last on over 3 weeks ago and don't have a picture. I am giving this one last try and then I am done with online dating forever.

Well, I'm 25 and had everything from 2 week relationships (???) to 3 year relationship that lead to engagement and ultimately break-up. I was close to happiness. My excuse I guess is that I just recently moved to FL and I live in a rural area with no sort of community out here..not that a bar or night-club would be quality community. To add to my rationalization, I work at a job that requires me to work alone and most of the staff are men. So, I resorted to EH at the tender age of 25...but there are some as young as 19??? Really?! Lol.

I'm 20, yes, 20 and i'm on here just to look for Ms. Right-for-Me. In college it's really tough to determine who's interested in me and who's not and to be able to get my foot in the door. I haven't had much luck so far myself, but i've signed up for a 3 month subscription and it's only been a week so i'm still hoping.
