Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. ~William Arthur Ward

It's day four today -- and week from right now many of us will be stuffing ourselves with turkey (or, enjoying a full belly of turkey!).

What are you grateful for today?

Today I'm grateful for my wonderful friends. I like to say "friends are the family we choose" and I really believe that's true. They have seen me through the worst of times, the best of times, and everything in between. I don't have a whole lot of close friends but the ones I have are VERY close...and I love and am so grateful for them all!

How about you? What are you thankful for today?

I am grateful for things that make me laugh. My dog, Seinfeld re-runs, my friends, David Sedaris books, the news.... the list of things that make me laugh goes on and on.

I am very grateful to have finally found a reliable handyman to tackle many, many overdue projects around my house. And he even puts up with my dogs!

Also grateful for my job (though it can be trying at times!); for my family and friends; my pets (who can also be trying at times); and my "surrogate family" (my brother's in-laws) who have invited me to share in their Thanksgiving festivities.
