I ask for an early Christmas gift:

I want a man to go with me to ... a man that will withstand the arduous, insidious, mind boggling torture of:

the Company Christmas Party.

A man that cleans up well. A man that has a modicum of manners. A man that will place his hand on the small of my back and keep the drunk company hound-dog-with-cooties OFF me. A man that will fake interest in my bosses tales of a burgeoning economy. A man that can resist stabbing my co-worker (who eats things on other people's plates without permission) with a fork.

And maybe just one dance? Please?

Is that asking too much?

This is where male friends come in!

I'm bringing my best friend (who's a guy). I brought him last year and he proved quite presentable and stood up nicely to the antics of my wacky eHarmony co-workers!

What am I supposed to post here? I need the same thing, a date for the Christmas party and for New Years...with the same requirements.

Exactly, Winn ... so let's post here. Now, we have a goal. With any luck, we'll get a date and then we can post results.

Christmas party results ...

What could be more bazaar? It would almost make remembering it worth the experience!

Nothing wrong with going to the company Christmas party alone.

I would rather go alone than with someone I did not know well and could potentially embarrass me in front of my boss and coworkers.
