le sigh, another one lost to modland.

First thing to go would be the peeing on the floor, next would be the barking at / chasing of cars.
If I could add anything it would have to be the ability to fetch beer bottles from the fridge for me and then put the empties in the case once I was done. I know I could just have a woman do this but dogs can't talk back.. its just so much better this way.. really it is.

Are you referring to modifying these things in a dog or a man?

lol Such a smarty! Man of course. Do you know how many teeth I've lost by biting hubcaps of moving vehicles.

I guess I have to allow this after my shot at women in the previous post.

Mother Nature is a mad scientist...and now we're going to let real scientists into the mix.

I am not sure you could guarantee that the personality would be the same as that is partly the result of environment and experiences so unless the female carrying the clone was exactly the same as the original's mother there would be differences. I find that there are so many unwanted pets that I would find it difficult to justify the effort or expense. I know some people are determined to have the perfect specimen, but if I get another pet it will be because there already is one who needs me out there. We are planning to get a few more cats, but they are to be outside working cats for the mouse population here in the country.

That is what no one knows. Maybe your personality comes pre-packaged and is your soul. Is your personality pre-determined? Is it genetic?

If you can't clone the personality or soul...then why clone anything except for spare parts? Like you said, there are plenty of homeless animals out there.

Life in all its forms seem miraculous and mystifying to me.

I agree. Your personality is influenced and shaped by life experiences....especially life changing events and tragic ones. (Although fiction, this reminds me of the movie 'Boys From Brazil'.)
