That seems a rather indefensible policy. Are these people even qualified to determine the authenticity of . . . anything? Aren't they pretty much a company that operates on behalf of credit card companies or something? This is bizarre.

I found it highly confusing myself. I wonder if the photo of the destroyed violin is actually not the one sent.

There was a big issue about a month ago with Regretsy (which is a hilarious site btw) and paypal. Basically Paypal was NOT being cool Paypal regrets shutting down Regretsy - BlogPost - The Washington Post

Interesting links! Sounds like PayPal is struggling to figure out what it is.

I also thought it was just basically an online credit card thing. Didn't realize it saw itself as oh so much more than that.
