I'm buying a car next week. An extra thousand would either make me consider buying a somewhat more expensive car or would just off-set my diminished savings.

My favorite custom jeweler has a ring on sale. I've actually considered buying it...a Christmas present to myself. Never bought jewelry for myself, and it would be the first *frivolous* purchase since my husband died.

So an extra grand would push me over the top; I'd put it towards that ring.

Any time I get unexpected money I use it to pay down the mortgage. Yes, I am that boring!

That's not a catch....Would have done that to begin with!!

I could definitely buy me at least five new outfits for work (which I desperately need), including accessories & shoes......

I would put it toward paying off a tiny fraction of the school debt I've managed to amass over the last seven and a half years. lol
