To tuck or not to tuck, that is the question.

To tuck:

To conceal one's shirttails within one's trousers.

Not to tuck:

To allow one's shirttails to Flap, three sheets to the wind.

Ladies, which do you prefer?

I've done both...tucking it only when I dress formal (dress shirt, weddings, reception, etc)...but even then sometimes I wear my dress shirt, untucked over my jeans.

If anybody doesn't like it....tuck off!

I like either way depending on the occasion.

I like a man in a dress shirt with jeans untucked.

It depends on the rise. Lower rise, tuck. High rise, untuck.

Jeans that fit. Casual and simple belt. Shirt tucked in. The untucking is like unwrapping a delicious present later and that is MY job. Give me something to do and I'm entertained for hours.

^^^^^^^^this is exactly right. On men.
And lose the pleats please.

If you still have pants with pleats, give them to Goodwill. Even if you are husky (hows that for delicate?)/ Especially if you are husky. Pleats only add to the bulk in the midsection on both men and women-and few of us needs more bulk there.

On women, low rise tucked tend to give a straight waistless look to a slim figure (I know, I prefer tucking my shirts in but then I look like a stick with boobs.) Untucked either way seems to be the preferred look these days, even in offices.

Of course on women the higher rise jeans are SO not in style now.n So I was told when looking for something that didn't show my but crack the other day. Really. A 67 year old but crack is NOT something I want to parade around displaying.
