Might as well we have fun with this

So you can say your match is too young or too old for you based on what she/he knows or have lived with, or experience things from the same era/generation.

I'll start:

She's too young for me if she doesn't know or never lived with a corded phone before

She's too young for me if she thought televisions have always been flat

She's too young for me if she doesn't remember "The Brady Bunch" being on TV(not the re-runs)

She's too old for me if she's old enough to remember when there weren't any cars.....

He's too old for me if he's dead. Yes, I am getting up there! lol.

If Burger King was still a prince when she was born, she's too old for me lol (ok this is not an original, but still funny!)

Can I play too?

He's too young for me if he does not remember that floppy disks used to be used to hold computer data well before flash drives.

He's too young for me if he does not remember or even know what an "Atari 2600" is or if he never blew on the Nintendo 64 cartridges to make them "work."

Finally, he's too young for me if music has always been "digital" and has no concept of what a "record," "cassette/tape," or even a "CD" is - and does not know that the Walkman and/or DiscMan were used to play such things well before iPODs and other MP3 players.

Great thread PY!

Too young if they don't remember polaroid pictures.
Too young if Land of the Lost was a movie not a tv show.
Too young if they don't know the answer to "Who shot JR?"

Oh my goodness I so did this with my Atari cartridges! Remember Galaga? Space Invaders? Pole Position? LOL

Speaking of which...she might be too young and too kinky (ok maybe never too kinky) if she thought Pole Position is something she..aah never mind

Yes! Pole Position rocked - though I always had to fight my brothers to play (and usually lost). PacMan and Ms. PacMan were also original Atari games as well... Cannot leave out Pong...the original video game!

She also may be too young for you PY if she hears "joystick" and automatically assumes you are speaking of something else and does not even consider that you were speaking of what you used to play such games on the Atari.

Maybe it was just me - but anyone remember when you had to "hold down" the floppy disk drives to get them to read disks? We had a Commodore 64 that we shared with the neighbors growing up - every time we tried to load a disk someone had to push down on the floppy drive...LOL. The Commodore 64 was where I learned to play Frogger (again, if only I could get there before my brothers).

Waiting for someone to read this thread and exclaim "What the heck are these people talking about?" Yup, then they're too young for me to date too.

Or if they have never had a TV that was not remote controlled! Too young for me if they have never had the experience of "being" the human remote control told to change the channel at the request of a parent or mean older sibling. LOL
