In 1999, I became convinced I had a dead animal in the walls of my home. It wasn't summer-time, so the stench wasn't too bad.

A few weeks later, I moved out and my parents came down to Sydney to help me move. I was moving about 40 minutes away to a suburb in Sydney's South-West.

Anyway, I get there to find my parents had transported the stench with them. It wasn't a dead animal in the walls.

I had 'put away' some lamb pieces in my wardrobe instead of the freezer! Oops.

I had a stupid moment this weekend. I had accepted an invitation to a barbeque dinner party and was looking forward to it. I even postponed a date with someone I've been corresponding with for a few weeks so that I could go. Then, when Saturday evening came around, I forgot about the bbq. Just clean forgot. I'm still kicking myself.

What can I say? I'm a tad absent-minded at times! I also once put the toilet paper in the washing machine and the laundry liquid in the bathroom cupboard!

Stupid moments me? Nevah....LOL

I have done the same thing Meri....put groceries in the wrong place. Usually I catch myself. The worst ones for me are when I meet someone and they say my name and I cannot figure out who they are. That is so embarrassing.

Heh heh yeah. That happens to me at work all the time. One bloke says hello to me daily and strikes up conversations with me if we're in the lunchroom at the same time. I've no idea what his name is ... I keep hoping someone will call out to him in my presence. It would be just too rude now to say, 'excuse me, but what is your name?'

Thank you for this! I am chuckling here. It makes forgetting other people's names seem so ordinary.
