Because there's a higher likelihood of coupling than in those silly hook-up shows.

I have no clue what "Survivor" is, but you said "coupling" so count me in.

They take a bunch of guys and girls to some remote location where you compete to stay in the game while dealing with the elements.

I think more successful relationships have formed through the show than via 'The Bachelor'.

And the girls are hotter too :P

They just wear a lot less clothing. Although I am a fan of the show and am watching now!

Why do they always send them to places that are very sandy? Don't the producers know that sand in your clothing is beyond uncomfortable?

I say there should be Survivor: Saskatchewan! Sure there's less opportunity for bikinis and other teeny articles of clothing, but there's no sand to cause itching. Bonus!

Perhaps because they want them to be uncomfortable, and thus wear less clothing?

Saskatchewan might be OK in the Summer, but I don't think we need to see any cases of frostbite.

Well, you might have to watch people in parkas and ginormous boots, but that's better than sand in my books. Besides, summer in Saskatchewan isn't all that great either. It's blisteringly hot and windier than . . . I don't know what. The frequent hail and thunderstorms are an added bonus. Who doesn't love it when the sky turns green?

Solution, don't wear boots?

Those could be quite fun, under the proper circumstances!
