Noticed this article:

Good, bad and ugly self-help: How can you tell? - CNN.com

What do you think? Have you tried "self help" programs? If so, have they "helped"? Were they grounded in science as the article claims they should be, or were they more "attitudinal" in nature, like The Secret?

self-help = self-empowerment

I haven't tried any "self help" programs. I do believe in the Power of Positive Thinking, though. Does that help?

I might read like to "The Secret" someday. I do kind of believe in the Power of Attraction.

I think we find what we look for. Good or bad. Like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So better to Focus on the Good.
