Now that summer is half over (according to the news media), how have you been spending your summer vacation?

We are still waiting for summer to show up in Chicago. I took a trip down to Key West for some warm weather and sunshine since I can't get it here . I also have a trip planned to Indianapolis to visit my sister and a trip to Vegas around Labor Day.

What are your travel plans?

This summer I've been taking a few staycations but I will be going to lovely Lake Tahoe this summer -- can't wait!

My big trips for the year are in the fall this year: road trip to Texas (seeing the Grand Canyon along the way) in October and NY for Thanksgiving. Can't wait for those either!!!

Hey, could there be an NY meet and greet close to Thanksgiving?!

Home for the most part since I am unemployed. Currently working on long ignored projects at home. It would be nice to go back to work for a rest!!

Up to my favourite spot in Maine in August for a week where I will be joined by a few of the regulars from here. Should be fun!!

Like you, we are still waiting for summer to do more than just tease us here in the Cleveland area, so I'm off to Florida next week to visit a friend of mine.

I've also been doing a few things around my home and a LOT of reading and writing. I've really needed to relax and de-stress, and this summer has been about doing a lot of that for me, too.

Well, I had a wonderful trip to Chicago! It will be hard to top that.

A friend of mine working for a while in West Virginia is supposed to be sending some info on whitewater rafting in that area. Have done a lot of that and love it so hope to get a trip in this summer. Would like a quick trip to the beach (maybe Gulf Shores or Destin) by October of this year. A fun spontaneous trip might be fun too.

Spent June in Texas (not by choice, i'll admit though, fun was had).
First 2 weeks in August, I will be in the midwest--Nebraska/Iowa/Wisconsin.
