Is it wrong for me to wish that a small child would fall over and break both legs? What if the small child is overweight, living in the apartment above you and spending every minute of his day bouncing up and down?

Cause... well.

And how the hell does a kid that bounces THAT FRIKKIN MUCH manage to become overweight in the first place?

Heh... the parents should probably control his sugar intake. It's probably the thing that has him both hyperactive and overweight.

You can try upgrading your mind so you can upgrade your job so you can upgrade your housing so you can upgrade your peace of mind.

In any case, living well is the best revenge. I recommend a Bentley, too.

A long time ago I lived under someone (hardwood floors) who left the chain leash on the dog ALL day, EVERY day.

I get where you're coming from with the kid...

I would not wish that on anyone but I would consider putting him in a manhole and parking a car on top of the cover.

No it is not wrong of you to think that. Though, it is somewhat unloving to wish harm on another.

The child could be active all day and still be overweight do to many causes. It could be emotional, mental stress, diet, sleeping habits, ect.

My recommendation for you if you are annoyed, is to find something you find funny or enjoyable about the noise (the rhythm, creeking, ect.) If you can find a way to like it, you will slowly begin to not be annoyed by it, while still being aware of it. Mind you it does take some work to do this.

Kids will be kids, it sounds like bad parenting to me and time to knock on their door. If that doesn't work, you should probably move. You never know, maybe you can switch apartments with the devil upstairs, payback is always sweet

It could be worse. Nothing like a 16 hour airplane flight with a crying child behind you.
