So I headed out to meet my friend for drinks and to watch the games. We went to the bar that she is a sometime bartender for because one she was already there and two cost and I know the owner too so I get drinks cheaper as well.

She was there early, she is a massage therapist and had had a new client who started texting her questions and such that freaked her out. Let's just say he was probably not looking for an actually massage. Being smart about it she called the police and went in to fill out a report.

The night goes on, not many people at the bar but we are having fun. A few people I have not seen in a while(mostly people who work at the bar). Duke loses, Ugh. The bar starts to fill up and I am busy trying to get one of the regulars to chill out and eat some food. I notice this one chick is really having a problem, she is wasted. I grab a bottle of water from the bar and take it over to her and let her friends know if they need help to just let us know. D(one of the off duty bartenders) comes back from just having been jumped on helping break up a fight on the dance floor, cops have been called. I notice chick is going down and D goes over to help. She throws up just as he walks up. He tries to help but they start hassling him, I go to get one of the bouncers. I got a brief hug from an old friend and started back over. The drunk chick and a couple of her friends pass by me, one of them turns around and punches me in the back of the head and back. Before I can react, one of the other bouncers is there and telling owner to call 911. After getting checked out and giving statement leave for home.

I decide to stop at a 24 hour little diner for some food. Walk in an there are three guys at the counter. I order my food to go, they start talking to me, they are preparing to leave but the one guy(who was ok in the looks department) hands me his card and tells me to call him sometime.

So, I start out having a good time, get smacked, and then had someone try and pick me up. I think I'll just stay home next Thursday.

WTF?! Was there any exchange before that? Any provocation at all? Boy, wiser words were never written than a T-Shirt I once saw: "Instant A______ Just Add Alcohol"

I'm sorry you had to encounter that. Especially as you tried to help her friend. Some people have missed their true calling - as fertilizer.

I certainly don't miss danceclubs or bars; I guess it's a phase we all go thru. Was a little shocked your massage friend called the police & went there per a text.

Oh forgot to add, I'll be sending you good energy the next time you go out. And some protection from violent drunk people.

I stayed home. Since I have been dealing with no computer since last Friday and had to spend money to get back in the cyber world decided it was financially smart to just chill out at home.

Lori - I did not call him, I know I should but am a bit shy......maybe I will

Jim - no prior instance, she was upset that the guy who is a bartender and the bouncer who came over to mop up were trying to tell her to let them help her friend...apparently she blamed me for them .....OH and the ADA called me about me coming in to file charges and informed me I could take my time she was in custody under other warrants.....hmmmm

Outlaw.......massage guy was texting things that suggested he was looking for more than just a massage....and then he got a bit threatening.....

Have a great Thursday all

Now THAT'S shocking!

In case you didn't notice - that was dripping sarcasm!(of course you knew that)

OH and the ADA called me about me coming in to file charges and informed me I could take my time she was in custody under other warrants.....hmmmm

So you are saying, someone with outstanding warrants, who's freedom hinged on being low-key and non-stooooooopid, did something really f***ing stoooooooooopid? Shocking again.

Depending on for what were the warrants, decide to go forward!

At the request of the owner of the bar, I am pressing charges. And yes apparently she is very stoooopid
