The "weirdest" not the "worst" interview I had was when the two people interviewing me were plyaing footsie under the table . It was very distracting and they could barely keep their hands off each other. (The married guy was the director and the girl was from accounting). I got the job but later heard about their scandalous affair.

I've been conducting a lot of interviews for my company looking to fill some sales positions and so far the most amusing candidate was a gentleman who told me that he is very shy and afraid of people and does not like to talk or go outside, he was not sure where he was or what he was doing in this interview or even what the job is for.

The extreme flip side of that are individuals who presume they are going to be hired and are already concerned about raises and promotions and company perks and how soon they can go on vacation. It's kind of hard to keep my face straight with that.

Well there was the time that I ended up getting bird crap on my pants before the interview. I strategically placed my end through the entire interview and ended up getting the job!

At my old job it was my responsibility to interview and hire any new employees. I liked my job; but I was running the school not teaching the kids and I missed that. So, I decided to look for a new job. It felt very strange to be on the interviewee instead of the interviewer. The first interview I went on I gave great answers to the questions asked. Funny thing is my interviewer was reading off a question sheet. So, I would answer the next question before she even asked it ( I could not read the questions. I just knew the questions from experience). She asked if I was mind reader I just laughed and said “No, I just am usually the one on the other side of the table.” I did get this job good thing she had a sense of humor.

As an interviewee, my worst experience was not even getting an interview. When I was a teen I applied to work at rite-aid. They called me up and set up an interview time. I confirmed the information before we hung up... so I go to the interview and the manager tells me that they're understaffed that day and she couldn't possibly do it then, but to reschedule. I go back a week later for my interview. Turns out the manager is out on a business trip.

Way to run a store, lady!

As an interviewer, I've seen quite a few train wrecks appearance wise. When looking for labor positions I don't care so much as long the posture is ok, and they can speak in non-slang, we're good to go. But when I'm hiring for a technical position, people come in wearing scrubby clothing and tell me their life story. Oh, so you're an alcoholic because of a supposed divorce? Oh, you're still not sure on whether or not you want to ride out your unemployment? Those people get shown the door pretty fast.
