If you went to collge -- does your job employ the degree you earned, or are you in an entirely different field?

Only tangentially. My primary degree was in literature. I teach middle school language arts, which is more concerned with grammar and composition. (Ugh - I hate teaching grammar!)

My degree is in something unrelated to my current job...but I do have a business degree and I have a few years of exposure and experience in the industry.

Nope I opted to have my own business in photography after college. I had studied History which I love. Took one film class my senior year and fell in lovewith it; got an A. After7 years in photography, Ibecamebored& also saw the computerage eating into profits.

So I became a Director of Placement. I had wanted to use my college degree for something. Thought about teaching and investigated law school. After some time I networked into the Computer field. Then I started another business.

Nope. My first degree was in Graphic Design and Illustration. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't get a job...don't ask. I drive a school bus now. Hey, I needed a job. It's a great job to work fulltime, get summers off and go to school full time. I work a split shift every day, go to school between AM and PM routes.

Back in school now, following my heart in Liberal Arts.

The question is, what can I do with a BA in Liberal Arts? I just changed majors last term from Web Design to Liberal Arts because I just couldn't get into web. I'm not a big enough web geek, I guess.

I want to write. I like global studies, comparative culture, communications, history, the arts, etc.

For now, I'm just lovin' going to school. I haven't been able to pursue a career, period until the last year or so. I'm looking forward to the possibilities. Whatever I do, I want a job where I make a difference in people's lives.
