I work in Financial Aid with post-secondary students and have a degree in English. So...aside from the fact that I speak English, no.

Hmm...sort of. My undergrad was in music education and my master's in music therapy. I am now in educational sales. Even though i don't teach anymore, I use my degree in my current job.

English Lit. degree and later a Biology degree - hired and worked most of my earning time as a financial manager for a large firm of architects. Worked after I married as a classroom assistant - so no never used my years of study.
Worse now is I'm studying again for an Environmental Sciences degree. *Sigh* I have a thing for knowledge.

My job for the last 30 some years has nothing to do with my area of study. American Studies with emphasis on American Literature and Journalism. I had dreams of teaching at the college level, but when I finished grad school, the market was saturated and a doctorate was required to be even considered for a position. To burned out to continue, I worked odd jobs for a year. Worked for the Veterans Administration, and finally was accepted for an intern program with the Defense Logistics Agency. So I'm now well versed in Logistics and Supply, and have the reponsibility of making sure the military and civilian agencies in the Western Pacific get fed. I actually enjoy the work.
